STORY BEHIND THE SONG
This is a song about doubt. Doubt that slowly seeps in when the people around us point out all the reasons why we are never good enough. And when we are lacking confidence in something we truly want to accomplish, sometimes we explode at those people who continue to put us out. Especially if those people continue to give advice when they themselves don't know how we could ever reach our goal. In the end, though, we are the only ones that can decide whether or not to believe in ourselves. And to continue to be angry at the people around you results in a very lonely and exhausting world.

To those who plant the seed of doubt with their harsh opinions, I hear these words:
"Forgive them, they know not what they do."

Then, I say to myself:
"Be like a rock, and let their words be like water. They flow over you, but they do not move you. Instead, they shape and refine you into a polished stone."
